How often do I meet with an advisor to review my investment portfolio?

Depending on which investment platform you’re on, we either meet annually, semi-annually or quarterly. We’re always available to answer your questions or provide advice for our clients either in person, via email or phone.

I have multiple retirement accounts from past employers, how do I combine them, so my retirement account is in one place?

Based on the types of retirement accounts you currently have, we will find which rollover account type will best fit your needs. We take care of all the necessary paperwork and communication with past employers. We usually just need a copy of a recent statement from where the retirement account is held and your signature to rollover.

I want to invest but I don’t know anything about it. Where do I start?

We specialize in taking a wholistic approach to investing. Meaning, we like to take the time to get to know you, pin point what you want to get out of your investments, we identify your risk tolerance and investment objectives. Our recommendation is to start off with a Financial Plan. A Financial Plan gives you an overall view of where you’re at and suggestions we propose to enhance your financial well-being to match your goals (including our investment recommendations for you).

What does the process look like for a Financial Plan?

We first have you complete a confidential questionnaire and give you a list of helpful documents to bring to our initial planning meeting. Next, we’ll meet with you to discuss what’s important to you and bring more personalization into your financial plan. After we’ve gathered your data, we analyze the following areas:

  • Retirement planning
  • Cash flow management
  • Tax planning
  • College planning
  • Charitable giving
  • Estate planning
  • Goal setting
  • Life planning

After we create your plan, we have you come in again to present your plan to you. This is a great time for you to ask questions so you can begin to implement your plan. Our hourly rate is $175/hour.

What all is included in a personalized Financial Plan?

  • Cash flow analysis: current cash flow vs post-retirement cash flow
  • Emergency fund analysis and recommendation
  • Education funding analysis and a plan to achieve funding
  • Analysis of current investments and proposed investment plan according to your goals and objectives
  • Homeowners, auto, boat, life and umbrella policy coverage analysis and recommendation
  • Retirement capital projections of current retirement capital compared to several models of recommended budget and investment direction
  • Wills and estate planning
